Shell Point Retirement Community held the official grand opening last week, for the recently renovated courtyard garden of the Mid-Rise Courts. President Peter Dys, and Vice President of Operations, Timothy Ficker, officiated the ribbon cutting ceremony in front of more than 250 Shell Point Residents of the Mid-Rise buildings and their guests. The Mid-Rises are comprised of three 4-story buildings on the north end of the Island at Shell Point overlooking the Caloosahatchee River.
"This courtyard has added such a wonderful element to the Mid-Rise Buildings, so that the residents can sit and enjoy nature either on their own, or visit the courtyard with their friends and families," said Ficker. The new courtyard garden is anchored on both ends by cascading waterfalls. A serene fountain is the focal point of the garden which features meandering pathways, shady areas for seating and a beautiful sculpture in the center, all surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscaping.
Shell Point Retirement Community is a continuing care retirement community located in Fort Myers off Summerlin Road, just two miles before the Sanibel causeway. Shell Point is a nationally recognized leader in the retirement industry. ¦
