BCB Homes has opened its new La Torre model, the first Certified Green Home in Tarpon Point Marina, announced Nick Cross, director of sales and marketing for the developer, Grosse Pointe Development.

Featured in Tarpon Estates, La Torre offers three bedrooms and three-andone half baths in 4,224 square feet of living area. La Torre is BCB Homes' first model to be built in Cape Coral, and offers views of Tarpon Point's lush landscaping and gulf-access waterways. The two-story home emphasizes outdoor living with three patios and a sun deck.

As the first Certified Green Home in Tarpon Point, La Torre received a Home Energy Rating System score of 86 meaning it is 35 percent more energy efficient than a home built to standard Florida building code. Additional green features include a central dehumidification system to improve indoor air quality by preventing the growth and survival of mold; a water recirculation system which enhances water circulation by immediately delivering hot water; and a spray-foam insulation to prevent the leakage of cooled air outside. Water efficiency is aided by the inclusion of Energy Star ® appliances and native drought-tolerant landscaping.

Community amenities at Tarpon Point Marina will include MarinaVillage, featuring a waterfront retail center; a 184-room resort-style condo/hotel; two waterfront restaurants each with indoor and outdoor seating; a day spa and fitness center; resort-style pool; and a deep-water marina with 175 slips for boats up to 75 feet long. Other features in MarinaVillage open to the public include fishing charters, tours and boat rentals.

Situated at the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River, Tarpon Point Marina is located at 5902 Silver King Boulevard. At build out, Tarpon Point Marina will have 976 single-family homes, condominium homes, park homes and lakeview homes.

The Sales Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. To learn more about Tarpon Point Marina, call 549-8500, or log on to www.tarponpoint. com. ¦
