Spiro Christopher T. Spiro has been appointed to serve on the executive committee of the American Heart Association's 2008 Heart Ball. Spiro is the president and chief executive officer of Spiro & Associates Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations. To be held on May 10, the 2008 Heart Ball will benefit the Lee County Division of the American Heart Association, a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida recently announced its new board of directors for 2007-2008. The nonprofit organization uses hands-on experience to help young people understand the economics of life.
