Dr. Paul Lancaster DiGiorgi, a cardiothoracic surgeon, has joined GulfCoast Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons. DiGiorgi received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in cardiothoracic surgery. He also completed a residency in integrated general surgery at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, Conn. DiGiorgi completed research fellowships at New York University and Columbia University in New York City, and Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands. During his research, he studied cardiothoracic surgery, anatomy, physiology and neuroscience.

DiGiorgi Jennifer Gilbert has been named a physician assistant at Florida Heart Associates. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Stetson University in 2001. She received her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida in 2003. Before joining Florida Heart Associates, she worked for more than four years as a Hospitalist Physician Assistant in Orlando. Gilbert is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
