Two women art exhibit at Sanibel library
A Two Women Exhibition by artists: Maya Bryant and Renate M Reuter will run from Oct. 1 through Nov. 3 at the new Sanibel Captiva Library.
Maya is a plein-air/on location painter. She has endeavored through her work to express what she feels about each subject she paints. She interprets it with excitement and the joy of inspiration, color, form, design, texture and mood come into play as she hopes to create a painting for self fulfillment and others will enjoy. Her refreshing style and colors is well liked and appreciate.
Renate Reuter's lifelong interest in the visual arts has developed over several years of intense observation and study in the various areas she has lived from her early childhood in Germany, in the New York City area and now in Southwest Florida. Her background and formal education include design, layout and planning, and color technology.
Along with her tropical scenes, wildlife, and still life studies she is currently also producing a series of local scenes and people portraits in which she is sensitively communicating with the viewer a sense of juxtaposition of color, composition and symbol in expressing time and place and character.
The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. ¦
