Southwest Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra Names Manager
FLORIDA WEEKLY PHOTO The Southwest Florida Symphony has named Todd Betz as the Symphony Youth Orchestra Manager. Betz has performed with the Symphony Orchestra for 16 seasons and served as Principal percussionists for eight seasons. He has coached the Youth Orchestra percussionists and has taught at Florida Gulf Coast University and Florida Southern College.
The Youth Orchestra is an auditioned group comprised of the best young musicians in a three county area. An important outreach activity of the Symphony, it provides quality symphonic training and performance experience for young musicians. They are coached by Symphony musicians, rehearse weekly and perform during many Symphony events and in their own series. ¦
