Wear your college colors on Aug. 31

Gov. Charlie Crist has proclaimed Aug. 31 as College Colors Day as the official day to show your collegiate spirit by wearing your college colors.

College Colors Day coincides with both "back to school" and the kickoff of intercollegiate athletics, including football, on college and university campuses across the state of Florida, and seeks to promote higher education through increased public awareness and celebrates the achievements of colleges and universities in the state, acknowledging their critical and fundamental importance.
