Ball Robert M. Ball, executive director of the Lee County Port Authority, was recently selected by the general membership to serve on the 2007-2008 board of directors for the Florida Airports Council. Ball has held numerous leadership roles with the Florida Airports Council including serving as past president of the association and most recently as a member of the 2006-2007 board of directors. Ball joined the Lee County Port Authority in 1993 as deputy executive director and became executive director in 1996. During his administration, Ball directed the planning, funding, construction and move to the new $438 million terminal and has led Southwest Florida International Airport to record-breaking growth in passenger and cargo traffic.
