Riverside Bank wins award
Riverside Bank of the Gulf Coast recently received the Junior Achievement Champion Volunteer Award for the second consecutive year for Lee County.
Riverside was recognized for its contribution
to the education of Lee County's future business leaders, said John D. Moran, president and CEO of Riverside Bank.
"Junior Achievement is just one of the ways that our team members can give back to the community," he said. "We had 18 team members, including executive officers, volunteer with Junior Achievement this year."
Junior Achievement uses hands-on experiences to help young people understand the economics of life. In partnership with business and educators, Junior Achievement brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential.
In 2006, Riverside Bank employees volunteered over 6,000 hours of community service and over $50,000 to local charities and events.
"Volunteering at Riverside Bank is just what we do," Moran added.
Riverside Bank currently operates 13 banking centers: in Cape Coral, North Fort Myers, Fort Myers, Venice, Bradenton, Sarasota, Nokomis, Pine Island and Naples.
