Pet business rescues abandoned canines
Neglected, abandoned, malnourished and sickly, most of the dogs that find their way to Jennie Curtis and Sunny Lichtenberg have been given up on and seem to have little chance of finding a permanent home. Tables for the American Cancer Society of Lee County's 2008 Cattle Barons' Ball have sold out six months prior to the actual event date. The fifth annual fundraising event will kick off Saturday, January 26 at the City of Palms Park in Fort Myers' River District. This is the fourth consecutive year the event has sold out in advance.
