Casting call for Schoolhouse Theater

The Schoolhouse Theater on Sanibel, a professional non-equity theater specializing in musicals, comedies and revues, is holding auditions for its 2007-2008 season. Auditions will be held at the Alliance of the Arts' Foulds Theatre located at 10091 McGregor Blvd. The 2007-2008 season includes the following shows: Forever Plaid (Musical) Playing Oct. 18 - Dec. 1 The Holiday Follies (Musical Revue) Playing Dec. 18 - Dec. 31 Caught in the Net (Comedy) Playing Jan. 10 - Feb. 2 Tuxedo Junction (Musical Revue) Playing Feb. 7 - Mar. 1 Lucky Stiff (Musical) Playing Mar. 6 - Mar. 29 Funny Money (Comedy) Playing April 3 - May 3 Anyone interested in auditioning is required to bring a current photo and resume. Those interested in auditioning for the musicals must be prepared to sing sixteen bars from sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided (No audio tapes, or cds please). Those interested in the comedies only must prepare a short comedic monologue. There may be a movement/dance audition following the singing audition.

Salary, cast housing, transportation, and gym membership are provided for all actors.
