"Art Royale" plans moving ahead

Beckman Beckman "Art Royale: The Games People Play" extends the deadline to Thursday, July 5, at 3 p.m. for artists who wish to submit unique and original proposals for this year's event.

The 5th annual Art Royale, the signature fundraising event for the Alliance for the Arts will be held Saturday, Nov. 17. This year's theme invites the artist to use unique creative vision to take audiences to the edge of their artistic comfort fusing various techniques to help create this one of a kind event. Organizers seek individual and collaborative artists including but not limited to performance, design, painting, music, instrumental and voice, fashion, photography, technology, videography, digital, poetry, sculpture, theatre, dance, culinary, and multimedia. Pam Beckman, owner of Bon Soiree Events of Distinction in Fort Myers, has taken the lead on planning Art Royale this year. She sat on several committees last year lending her expertise and organization,

and she has recently joined the Alliance Board of Directors.

Beckman says businesses and individuals still have opportunities to sponsor this one of a kind fundraising event. One of last year's presenting sponsors was Chico's Charities. Spokesman Cole Peacock said, "It's so terrific to be a part of making art more accessible in this community. We want to increase people's awareness of how much creativity there is in our area; that's why we were eager to become a presenting sponsor of Art Royale." Three sponsors who have made early commitments by press time include Oswald Trippe and Co, LCEC and Gora McGahey Associates.
