Firm helps build Habitat home

The CES employees were joined by members of the Fort Myers State Attorney's office for the charity construction project. Together, the volunteers built and braced all the exterior walls and prepared the home for roofing.

"We were honored to work with Habitat for Humanity to help provide affordable housing for a deserving family," said Mark McCleary, president of Community Engineering Services. "Serving the community is part of our company's mission."

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to eliminate substandard housing across the United States. Families who qualify for a Habitat home are required to give back to the organization through "sweat equity" by helping to build their own new home and assisting with the construction of other Habitat homes in the area. In addition to a low-cost home, the families may also qualify for a low- or no-interest mortgage to make the home more affordable. A family has not yet been selected for the new Lehigh Acres home.
