Florida Gulf Bank expanding

Florida Gulf Bank announces plans for a full-service location at the new Coconut Point shopping complex in Estero. The branch, which will be located at the corner of US 41 and Coconut Road, at the southernmost entrance to the mall, is scheduled to begin construction in the first quarter of this year. The locally owned, locally managed bank was established in February 2001 and today has seven Lee County locations and an asset base that exceeds $300 million.

"Estero and Bonita Springs are strong growth markets and a natural next step in our ongoing commitment to provide the highest level of personal service to the residents and businesses of Southwest Florida," said Bill Valenti, president and chief executive officer. "We have received tremendously positive response in every market where we've established offices, and we are excited about expanding into the South Lee County area."

The new 4,000-square-foot Coconut Point office is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2007. It is designed with a Mediterranean revival-style theme in keeping with the mall's architectural style.

Florida Gulf Bank also opened a fullservice location at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Surfside Boulevard in Cape Coral. The office, the bank's second Cape Coral office, is located at the entrance to Bonita Bay Group's Sandoval community. "Cape Coral is a key market for Florida Gulf Bank, and the opening of our Sandoval office is the next step in our ongoing commitment to provide the highest level of personal service to the residents and businesses of this community," said Stephen Stewart, area president for Cape Coral.
